Yours Humanly enrolled our 16 scholars, who live in an orphanage in Kampong Chhnang province, Cambodia, in off-site high-level English-language classes. The boys and girls, ages 7 to 15 years, will learn to read, write, and speak English from qualified English teachers and through a variety of beginner, intermediate, and advanced level teaching methods, including Rosetta Stone, which teaches vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar through computer-assisted language learning software.
Once the children complete the multi-year program, they will know how to communicate in English, giving them a bilingual advantage in an increasingly competitive and hi-tech world where English is the most widely spoken language. Their English language skills will open opportunities for travel, exploration, employment, careers, and connection with cultures around the world, setting them on paths toward bright and unbounded futures.

Yours Humanly Cambodia delivered computers to the Thmor Da Secondary School in Takeo province, Cambodia, which will benefit more than 250 underprivileged children (and hundreds more to follow) who now have access to computer technology. Thanks to your generous donations, computer education will be a part of the curriculum of this school for the first time in the school’s history, and computer science classes will be held daily.
Students and teachers expressed their delight at having this opportunity to learn about computers and have direct, hands-on access to this critical educational resource. An all-girls school in Uttarakhand, India, that serves 650 underprivileged girls ages 5 to 18, has long been in in need of critical structural and aesthetic building repairs and renovations. Crumbling walls, broken and missing windows, moldy classrooms, inoperative fans, and an entire building, inside and out, in desperate need of fresh paint. The school was an unsafe and unhealthy environment for the girls, and unsatisfactory as a place for learning.
Yours Humanly adopted this school and with the support and donations of many generous people, the Yours Humanly India team got to work. Employing local professional labor, we repaired and painted exterior walls and doors, repaired window frames and installed new glass, repaired the electrical system and got the fans working, and deep cleaned and painted the entire interior. The first phase of our project is complete and what a difference! The school has a new look and feel, creating a healthier and more pleasing environment for the girls as they continue their educational journey. View the video of Phase 1 of the project.
The second phase includes building a computer lab at the school and providing computer education to these precious girls and the hundreds more who will follow. Yours Humanly has opened the doors to its first stand-alone computer center and library, located in Lalitpur, Nepal. Funded by Behring Global Education Foundation, the Yours Humanly Nepal Computer Center & Library will serve thousands of underserved children from surrounding communities, today and for years to come. The launch of the educational center is of great significance to children, families, and community members, who will now have access to computer classes and library membership at no cost to themselves.
Free access to quality books, technologies, and computer science instruction will open new worlds to the students, who have gone without during their educational journeys. Now, with a variety of picture and chapter books, in both Nepali and English, and state-of-the-art computers and technologies at their fingertips, better, brighter futures await these precious children. The center’s festive and well-attended ribbon cutting was held on April 21, with the thrill of holding the big scissors and making the official cut of the ribbon going to Ms. Manjali Shakya Bajracharya, Deputy Mayor, Lalitpur Metropolitan City. In attendance were members of the community; school principals, staff, and students; ward chair and officers; press, media, and influencers; and Yours Humanly Nepal board members, friends, and volunteers.

Yours Humanly Cambodia delivered bicycles to our 16 scholars who live in an orphanage in Kampong Chhnang, Cambodia. The students, ages 7–15, will use their bikes to commute to and from school, cutting their traditional commute time by a third and eliminating walking the long distances to school, especially strenuous in hot and humid weather. The bikes will also provide a measure of safety while commuting in the early evenings and late nights in areas that can be unsafe for young people. Yours Humanly delivered digital art tablets to underserved students at Oral Lee Brown Foundation in Oakland, CA. These computer input devises replace the mouse with a pen-like stylus and digitized drawing pad that allow students to hand-draw images, animations, and graphics more naturally and precisely when working in the digital medium—a hi-tech complement to traditional studio art drawing tools.
Many underserved schools in low-income areas cannot afford critical educational supplies or technologies for their students, leaving children at a disadvantage when it comes to their educational experiences.
